next.....

now that i got my exhaust taken care of, i am looking into a smarty(of course) and an exhaust brake....most likely a pac-brake. is there a particular model i should be looking for? is the one on ebay the "right one"?

i also plan to go with a fuel system of some sort. is glacier the best? or how about the one wicked diesel is offering?...also their eliminator pump?????? should i just worry about the 2micron filtration instead of the pump? big line kit? if i can do it in steps, what would be step 1?

I have heard good things about the wicked system.. I have the walbo(glacier).. THere is two kinds of pac brake's.. The one you want is the spendier one?? I don't know a part number but there is two different ones.. Just Pm larry at the DTR store and he will match just about any price out there!!!

hey shane,
i am assuming the "spendier one" is NOT the one i saw on ebay? i wouldn't buy from ebay, but was just looking for a price baseline. also, i wasn't aware the DTR sold them..i will take a look.

ON EDIT: couldn't find it on the online store...maybe someone can PM me with info and pricing?

does the pac-brake install similar to the jacob's version..with new serpentine belt etc...?????

about how much power are you making with your current setup?

would you recommend the entire fuel sytem from wicked diesel or just the eliminator pump?

you want the prxb.
no worries about a serpentine belt. the pac brake uses a 12v air compressor(150 psi) that mounts on the front of the intake to provide activation air for the brake. the compressor only runs when the brake is commanded on.
the brake comes on when you(or the cruise control) releases the accel pedal, or when the accel pedal is off and the water temp is below 170*(to aid in warm up) i have had mine on for 2 years now and love it.

You want the PRXB.

Call Lary before you but. I paid quite a bit less than that a few months ago.

No noise at all unless its activated. But at an idle when its on you get a little noise, but I wouldn't call it a hiss. Mine sounds more like a burble.
