Newbie-What mod's to add???
Hello everyone,
I am new to your site. I was looking to add some mod's in the near future. I have already done the 315 BFG's, now looking at $$$$ reasonable mod's:
2inch Autometer triple dash pod console (EGT, Temp, Boost)
Banks Monster Exhaust
Has anyone done these? and how did you like them?

BK,
Welcome neighbor! I'm over by Chelsea, just west of Ann Arbor.
Get the gauges. EGT at the very least.
Then I would do the Air Intake. The AFE Pro Guard 7 drop-in or big cone kit with their torque tube works well to get air into the engine. Scotty Air III is a more factory looking air intake. I like the looks, and he is a sponsor here.
Then you can get into the "drugs", pressure/timing boxes. Bunch out there, do your research. I use the Edge EZ, it has never thrown a code, and has been very reliable. It is one of the milder boxes, but it is safely stackable with the timing boxes for more HP when the time comes.
If you have an auto transmission, I wouldn't go much farther then that. Our auto trannies are probably the stoutest out of the big 3, contrary to what you hear. When tranny time comes, do your research.
Also, I found an awesome Diesel Shop just across the Michigan sate line in Angola IN, off of I-69. Dave's Diesel, he has allot of stuff in stock, and about 8 bays to do work in. They had my truck for a week, I am still speechless!
They installed my turbo, injectors, ATS manifold, ATS Commander (for the tranny), 4 gauges, Air Dog FASS and made it all work flawlessy at a good price! She is a screamer! If you are going to go hog wild like I did, go see Rick at Dave's Diesel (260) 665-5396. He will really take care of you, and diesel pick ups are all he does.
