So the only thing the EZ is doing now is boost fooling.

MikeyB,
I'm not suggesting you 're having any issues or you need to upgrade, but software 309D205B(which I think does boost fooling since it's for an aftermarket turbo) has solved all my problems(except EGTs of course). I have as much or more smoke than before and the flat spot in the upper RPM range is gone. Just an FYI as I see your using the EZ for boost fooling only.

I know. Just seeing if external boost fooling makes any difference with our HO's running earlier versions of the SMARTY.
So far I'm still seeing 32psi. Will need a better run to check the EGTs.

Just installed mine. I am only seeing 32 psi also. Compared to 45psi with my TST and a external boost fooler. It seems to faster than the TST though. Expically from 0 to 60. Probably about the same from 60 on. I dont have the new version of the Smarty. It did not give me the option to choose a torque managment level. I first loaded level 7 and EGT's hit 1600 around 90mph starting from a stop. And had some TC slippage. So I then loaded level 5. It hit around 1500EGT at about the time the speed limiter hit. I did get some timing knock with my TC lock up switch on letting it lug at around 1000 rpm, and about 1/4 throttle....with a LOT of smoke Anyway, I will stop for now. Should I download the new program or not? I have to get a USB cable. I feel they should include one with it.

On my 03 I can peg both my 35 PSI gauge and my 1600* pyro, only on a really hard pull from 0-110mph. Level 7 software 309D205B. No other fueling boxes, just the Smarty I love it, but my turbo hates it...

tcr,
I see a new turbo for you in the near future!

After my tow trip this coming weekend I will try the 309D205A and 205B.

blcoonrod,
Are you still running the external boost fooler with the SMARTY?

USB cables are pretty cheap. I got a few of them laying around here.

Ok, this is interesting. With the EZ setup for boost fooling only I had a hard time getting the EGTs past 1100 degrees with the SMARTY on level 5. And this is towing about 3k lbs. Before the addition of the boost fooling I could easily get the EGTs to 1250 and higher. Also pickup a few more psi of boost, think I maybe maxing out the Westach gauge (35psi).
