2001 dodge 3500 automatic starts up fine when you take off has no power for first mile after warm up it runs ok truck has 238.000 on it just bought it.

Pls fill in yous signature with your truck details, including any modifications that you have, chips, fuel pump, air boxes, exhaust, etc., and gauges installed, this will assist us in troubleshooting....

Do you notice the voltage dropping / cycling while it's idling cold? That would indicate that your grid heaters are working.....

These engines like to have a bit of idling before running, gets the system oiled and adds to the expected life - I've not heard of a lack of power before the engine is warm, though, hopefully someone will chime in soon -
