new rims in the NE...
im looking to get a new set of rims for the truck. i was wondering if it were chrome or aluminum that ends up pitting and rusting due to road salt. here in md, they seem to dump a ton when it snows- even a dusting seems to get a ton. i was wondering what people ran as far as chrome or aluminum and if they have had any problems come winter with them? thanks for your help.

I ran both, and either will work. Aluminum will pit , and chrome can look like crap if you neglect them. Either choice will work, just clean them off on a regular basis. Here in PA, many of the roads turn white from all the salt they use. I make regular stops at the car wash on my way home from work during the winter.
