My Hts does it from 2-3-2-32-2-3-2-32323-2 whatever. Its annoying Dusty did send a new throttle control piece for the valve body to fix it I just never put it in. Mine did it also from 1-2-1-2 but that was the governor solinoid. I love my Hts and it did fine when I dragged it at IRP yesterday. No slip at all. You will love it if you would get all the goodies for your tranny.

Ok folks. I talked to Dusty today about my valve body. And as I mentioned earlier I can be wrong and it turns out I probably am. Seems as though I might have an adjustment that is out of whack from where I changed over my shafts. I misunderstood the distance that the bolt was supposed to be set at. I'm going to try changing the adjustment tonight and see what happens. If it is the little throttle bolt that needs adjusted then this would be occurring regardless of what brand valve body I have.

Well, I made the adjustment this morning and it fixed the issue. The truck now shifts much more like it did stock. No more 2-3-2-3-2 issues to mention... and I did some really light throttle take offs. Out of first at about 10 mph. Out of 2nd about 25 mph. Into O/D at 40 mph and lock up at 50 mph... or at least I think Either way, all seems to be good now. Dusty even offered to send me a different V/B if he had to so I would say the C/S ended up being very good. He called to check up on me too, BTW. Thanks Dusty!
On a side note, I'm getting pretty good at taking the drain pan off without getting messy

Backed out the throttle adjusting bolt (hex key bolt) to 915/1000 inch.

thats why I got a little overly defensive about them. they have been good to me. I hung out with them at IRP. they are nice ppl. I dont think any other company would want to hang out with their customers and meet them. I thought it was pretty cool. dusty will help you out, I called him when mine first acted up he didnt make excuses at all he said I can send you another valve body right away. if their customer service stays good they will go very far in the transmission business I think

I've heard nothing but good things about HTS and they were very nice to me when I was trying to get an billet intermediate shaft in a pinch. I've found out why my tranny has been acting stupid all of a sudden....governor pressure sensor finally coded out all codes. Putting a new filter and sensor in next week. KS.

This issue seems to be across the board. I have installed a shift kit from transgo and have the same issue. I am loosing my mind with the 223233323233323 shifting!

Could you be more specific as to which throttle hex bolt you are referring to? From memory (installed a month ago) thre was a metal bracket that fit on the side of the valve body and had a very strong set of springs compressed under it...with the hex valve adjustment... is that the one you are referring to?

For those of you that have trouble you can also drive in Tow/haul if you absolutely can't stand the hunting. The PCM on the electronically controlled trucks can cause it to hunt. The PCM is telling it to shift when it shouldn't be shifting, but there are mechanical tricks to solving the problem.
