Needing New tires soon

I will be needing tires soon and found these Pirelli Scorpions STR A at The Tire Rack for like 100 bucks a peice, anyone run these tires. I dont think the stock Generals are going to make it to 30k. Plus I am looking to go up in size. So I will need 7 tires to cover spare . Thats why im looking for the best deal. The guy at Discount tire quoted me around 1400$ Doesnt sound like a discount to me lol.

Alright, having gone through this just recently, I can tell you what NOT to get. Michelin LTX M/S WOW...horrible, just horrible, fish tailed with barely any power applied to it, scary stuff.
After lots of research (including those you mentioned) I am currently trying the Bridgestone Revo Dueler's. I say trying because like the Michelin's, I will return them if I'm not satisfied. I'm interested in traction and lots of it. So far, I must say I am pretty happy with the Bridgestone's (a squealing tire is a happy tire, and these guys squeal, the Michelin's didn't). Plus, these guys look pretty cool too (kinda like claws).
The big test is tonight actually, I'm taking it to the track and see how hard of a launch they'll hold. Based on informal street launches, I say they'll do pretty good, and that's really what I'm interested in.
