Needing tires, found an OK deal, maybe

I found 4 Cooper Discoverer H/T tires I can get locally for about $670 installed with life time balance/rotation and road hazard. To me it sounds OK but I really don't know anything about the Coopers. Anybody have any experience with them they'd care to share. Additionally, I found a $50 rebate form on the net if I buy them before 12/31.

Personally, I like Coopers. Have had no trouble with them at all and they seem to wear well.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I about bought a set of cooper mud terrains 305/70/16 for almost $800. Ended up buying a set nitto terra grapplers instead.

I hate buying tires!

The last 2 sets of tires on my truck have been coopers and have had no problems with them at all.

I have a set of Cooper ATRs on my Ram and I just put a set of the HTs on our Rav4. I have been happy with Cooper.

Thanks guys! I stopped by there this morning and told them I'd be by tomorrow or Wednesday to have them mounted. They even offered to let me run them for a day or two just to try them out. I thought that was pretty courteous of them.

Yeah that's not a bad price, H/Ts are going for about 175 bucks apiece.

I run Cooper ATR's in the summer as well.

They are wearing very good and even with over 20K on them.

Mine are wearing well also with about 15k.

What tire do you run in the winter? I assume a snow tire, since you have a plow, but just curious?

Thanks

I think you need to have them put on my truck Rick.. Just to be sure they are safe for you.

Because I Care.

I run ATR's on the Expedition and Subaru. I run SST's on my truck. I have not run anything but Cooper's for about 10-12 years now. I have been very happy with them.

Uh, Rick, you know me. We have met and hung out in person before. I will always have your back no matter what, thats just how friends are. I should probably do this in a PM but I want your other friends on here that, obviously care about you as well, to know what the problem here is and maybe we can all pull together and keep a watch on you in the future in case something like this happens again. YOUR TRUCK HAS 6 TIRES RICK, NOT 4.

HA! I had to do it!

Cooper makes a fine tire in my opinion. I have had a couple sets on vehicles past and never a single issue!
