Need new shoes - 18" or 20"

OK. Looking at new tires, so thought maybe I'll splurge for new wheels and off the Hummer wheels. Originally thinking 18", but then got looking at 20". Here's my rules though. 2" lift already. Don't want to raise the toyhauler any higher. It's already nose high. Don't want to go above the 33" (285's) due to loosing more power. I'm super heavy with a 3.73 rear. If I had 4.10...then 35's would be sweet, but it's not in the cards right now.

So my question is this:
20's with 285's is going to look stupid isn't it? Like a rappers truck with low profiles. Hate that look.
18's might be better?

Anyone got pics of 285's / 33" on 20's (or 18")?
Don't post other sizes...I've already searched and seen it...

The worst thing about the 20" is the tire cost. I run 35x12.5x20 and good tires are a min 300-350. I know that's a reasonably bigger tire but just some input.

I like the look of 35's and 20's and think that 33's and 18's would give you the same proportions.

I agree with ^^^^^^^^^^^! 35's/33's on 18's look good. 33's on 20's are out of proportion.

Yeah I've seen 35's. Tons of those out there. That's a ways off from 33's though. I did find Hankook Dynapro's in a 34". They're basically the same price as 275 - 285 in 17" - 18". So price isn't such a problem as is the other things. Lifting the toyhauler to match or loosing my gearing. I already run it fast to keep the RPM's up. It runs better that way. Guess I could use 4.10's really. That's gonna run a grand though I bet.

OK. Got them mounted up. For the money they couldn't be beat.
$500 after rebate, sold the Hummer wheels for $300, and I had a $135 credit at Discount. So...$65 for 4 wheels or $16 a wheel.

Went with 18" MB Torque wheels and some Hanook DynaPro 275/70R18 E rated tires. Michigan is just too tough for 18" Chrome wheels. Maybe next year I can buy another set for summer fun and make these my winter wheels.

I gota say they ride WAY better then the BFG's that were on it. Seem to have alot less rolling resistance too being in an E rather then a D.

Next project is some new brake pads up front. I only have 43k on the truck, but in 4 days the wheels are covered in red brake dust. So I gotta find something that's low dusting yet will still take my toy hauler combo (26k pounds). Any idears?

Thanks. I had them use sticky weights on the insider of the rims cuz I'm thinking about putting Dynabeads in them at some point. I heard they work great.

I really like that size tire, but I couldn't find a wheel with enough backspacing to keep them from sticking out and throwing crud on the fenders. Can you post a pic showing how far they stick out?

33" tall tire on 18" rims....Dunlop Rover Maxx Tractions 275 70 18s on Devino 772s. Truck has Carli Starter Kit on it.

Hope this helps.
