Need Help - Edge Install

I am helping a buddy install the Edge Juice w/Attitude on his truck and we can't for the life of us figure out how to keep the red power wire that goes into the fuse box from being PINCHED when you close the lid.

The instructions say to run it along the battery side coming out of the fuse box BUT the fuse box panel lid has an lip and seal to prevent water from entering it. How on earth can you run the wire under it without causing it be pinched??

HELP!!

Not sure how much water can get in there but if it gets that high your prolly screwed anyway so I just notched the bottom of the fuse tray or lip as you called it with a pair of dykes and ran the wire thru it good luck

I didn't even go that far. I ran the wire to the #50 hole on the hot side and then slammed the lid down and screwed the deal back on and velcored the sucker to the top and never looked back.

there is actually a notch allready there, just on the engine side of the box, about an inch long spot to run wires in and out of

Mine had a notch to run it out of somewhere along the edge of the cover. Couldn't tell you exactly where without going out and looking. If you can't find it just notch it with dykes like Juiced06 said and if you're really worried throw a dab of silicone on it when your done. Good luck - it'll work fine.

That whole "10 Minute Install" is nonsense. It took us over 10 minutes to just remove the 2 injector harnesses.

The wiring is kind of messy so it took us a couple of hours to just sort thru the wires and make them nice and neat in wire looms.

I never looked for slots to run wiring into the fuse box. I think I have 3 or 4 now and they all are pinched to some degree. Has not caused me a problem yet.

Its good you are taking your time to clean things up, but this is a bit much. Have you ever installed a performance module?

ignore the negative remarks, those guys probably had their dads buy their truck and do not appreciate it. i too did not like the edge setup, so much i pulled it and went back to bullydog and bd x monitor. you are right, install is a pain especially if you already do not have pyro installed. in the end i just do not like the look under the hood with the big box sitting on the fuse box.
