I'm sure that you can find pix if you do a search. But it's very easy.

remove serpentine belt. Remove 4 bolts on dampner. Remove tone ring. Keeping the tone ring in the same direction as you took it off, remove material to the left side of the dowl pin locating hole, or just make it larger. Put the tone ring back on the same way that it came off, put the damper & bolts back on. Just snug up the bolts enough to rotate the tone ring clockwise as you are facing front to rear of the truck. Tighten bolts down, install belt & enjoy.

I always loosen the crank bolts before removing the belt. That way the belt keeps some tension on the pulley so it doesn't turn so easy. I have always had to use a long handled 1/2" drive ratchet and smack it with a 3lb hammer in order to break the bolts loose. I also use that method to "Torque" them back down when I'm done...

Any gain that you can actually feel, especially when it's free, is a great mod. The two thing most people see with this mod are a little better power off the line and better mileage.

This is more of a mod for an otherwise stock truck....

Thanks, I was just thinking about doing this temporarily until I get my Smarty SR. The truck is pretty sluggish since I pulled out the Smarty JR, I forgot how they run with stock programming.
