Need fast advice!!!! Can a stock auto handle 10k lbs. on SW-3?

I am going to tow my Toyhauler in the morning. Is the REVO sw-3 going to be ok on the stock tranny? Thanks....Justin

If you aren't driving aggressively, i would say yes it will hold. Just be easy with it, and don't be in a hurry!

Go EASY on the throttle while in o/d. You will slip the lockup clutch in the torque converter even on level 3. If you are running the REVO software I recommend keeping the torque management on level 1 or 2 (at the most) so you can try to avoid this.

I just doesn't make much sense to bomb the Cummins and feed it into a stock tranny. You will definately have to go easy. The main advantage, with a stock tranny, is a better running engine and better mileage, but not stronger towing.

Keep the revs up while towing! When you are in the hills and pulling hard keep it reved up to about 2200 or so and listen for a slipping TC while locked. Your Cummins will pull heavy grades at about 1600 RPM but the tranny will not handle it at even a 60 HP increase.
