Need advice on some aftermarket shocks......

I want to replace the shocks on my 05 4x4 2500. I am going to leave it stock height and was wondering if i should go with KYB's or Bilstein Hd?? The more opinions the better.. I do tow a 5th wheel every now and then. Thanks..Justin

Bilstien`s seem to be the most popular choice, I put them on mine as I tow quite a lot myself, made the truck ride better.

I have the Bilsteins and am happy with them. There isn't a lot of info on the KYB's; they could be a darned good shock for all we know. Like said above, the Bilsteins are the popular choice.

Bilsteins....hands down
I tow heavy all the time and what a difference the Bilstein shocks made.
I am very, very happy with them.

I put on Bilstein HDs recently. I didn't have any issues with my stock shocks other than the truck was a little bouncy since day one, but the Bilsteins were on sale (shockwarehouse.com) so I got them. I'm glad I did. I Didn't like the yellow color so much but did not want to spend the extra $$$ for the black/silver so I bought the yellows and shot 'em black via the rattle can.

The differences over stock I've noticed:
Truck rides smoother over an uneven surface (like dirt roads).
The shocks control the suspension rebound better then stock when going over crappy sections on the freeway.
Truck handles high speed cornering better.
Braking is improved as the front does not dip nearly as much.

I'm buying a set of Bilsteins this weekend from a guy that rolled his powerwagon and totaled it. I had some on my 03 and really didn't notice any difference but those were used too and may have just been worn out. These only have like 29000 miles on them.....
