Love the Mystery Switch
I installed my Mystery Switch about 20K miles ago using a push button momentary switch. (47RE) It is key to keeping your tranny temps down!!!! I use it the most in city/town driving when I get up to around 30mph I back off the fuel and lock in 3rd with OD locked out. Also on any hill where my speed is or drops below 30 (stop light-slow traffic) I do the same. Also in non-towing driving I use the switch to lock 3rd & OD when appropriate. Bottom line the computer is only so smart!!!!
I use the resister tied in at the relay on the firewall method. Lots of links on the forum.
