I can't think of anything I would do different. I am loving it. Everything seems to be working great, I am very happy with it.

No real update other than I am loving it, no problems at all with it so far, I just really love driving my truck even more than I did before.

I just did the shift kit with the recommened parts from Dave. The shifts are very smooth yet firm to where you can feel it and is no longer drags out or waits to shift. Lockup is very smooth and the only way i can tell it happens is from the sound of the engine and drop in RPMs. I didnt get a TC but this shift kit appears to be very nice so far. Spinning tires and smoking people out are too much fun. I just really like the way it makes the shift feels firm but still smooth and quick.

Now that you've had it in a few weeks, what if any is the reduction in takeoff rpm stall? and what is the rpm drop from 4th to lockup? I'm at about 2000 rpm anytime I give it a bit of pedal from a start and it's pretty ridiculous. The converter place is just down the road from me and I'll have to go check them out as I'm about due for a trans rebuild but I'd like to know that the stall is lower than stock.

There is a reduction for sure, like I said I didn't do a good enough job recording the stock to tell you the difference. I would say the stall speed now is around 1600-1700 rpm, but I will try and tell you for sure.

Converter lock up is firm, probably due to the shift kit too. I don't really know how to tell you what the rpm drop is, it depends on how hard you are on the throttle. I know that when the converter is locked and I am cruising at 50mph the rpm is right at 1300. Which is lower than stock was.

The truck drives a lot different now, but probably the most notable thing for me was full throttle runs, before the truck would flash to about redline and the mph would slowly start to come up, so the RPMs and MPH were not linear at all. Now on full throttle the Rpms increase, but do not redline and instead they increase as the speed of the truck does. More like what you would see in a manual trans.

I'm going to have the exact same build done in June. Same shop too. Think I'll take my Harley to ride the Mountains while I'm there. Suppose to be done in one day, I am getting anxious.

Only real update is that my around town mileage seems to have gone up probably about 1-1.5mpg. I just took a trip over to the western slope and the truck ran great.

Everything seems to be working just great

Mine did just the opposite, it went down about 2-3 mpg in town with the delayed shifts with Transgos supplied TV spring. I just tore into it again this weekend and replaced it with stock spring and everything seems to be back to the old numbers but I'll have to wait until I fill up to be sure.

The supplied TV spring would be great if I was towing everyday or lived in a rural area but here around Norfolk in stop and go traffic and side streets I was always waiting on it to up shift or letting off the throttle trying to get it to upshift.

I think my mileage gain is due to the new converter.

Just got home to Eastern Kansas from Colorado. I had the same build that yelloz did. So far I'm impressed. I had my Harley loaded in the back so I didn't want to get too froggy with the throttle but I can tell there is more power getting to the road. The only rpm chance I noticed post build is getting up to speed, As yelloz said, rpms are now more linear with throttle position. Cruising @ 70 is about 1900 RPM, same as before the build. With 285 70/r17 tires. I got about 16.7 mpg going up to Parker, CO and 18.2 mpg coming back. Of course there is something like 4000' difference in elevation so one could argue that I had a little downhill advantage coming home. The real test results will be the next few weeks of my normal driving routine.

No real progress or change to report. Everything is still working great. I am looking at doing a turbo upgrade here in the very near future. Not sure what I am putting down power wise, but the trans holds it well. I have a toyhauler camper that I towed into the mountains over the 4th of July that is probably about 9-10k loaded and the truck had no problems with it.
