If you get a cat delete pipe do you need to have to fool any electronic sensors to avoid error codes and problems?

No you don't on a 5.9. There are no exhaust sensors on a 5.9.

my 03 is straight piped. already got nailed for being to loud. the town i live in your aloud to blow .80 decibals and my blew .86. but the dumb cop said i could have stacks cause when you go to check for sound the sound goes up so you really cant test it. im still upset about it

Mine sounds better with muffler delete, not to loud cruising and kept cat for no problems with NY emissions. Try muffler first for cheapest route, can always do more later.

I did just that. Had the muffler removed and left the cat on. i don't have to have the emissions checked, so I Could remove the cat too.... but right now, it's just about perfect. Loud at low end and easy cruisin = very little drone...
