Question Mpi

on the MPI kits i know there are different turbos you can use. I didn't wanna Pm nathan yet since im no where near close enough to getting a set yet, but if you replace both turbos would it spool faster near or better than factory? and what 2 turbos would you use on a 6 speed standard 2500 4x4 that would be a daily driver, but still tow stuff?

Not based on experience but on reading other's post's, twin spool up is slightly slower than the smallest turbo as a single. So if you top turbo is a 62 class then your spool up will be a bit slower with that as your top turbo instead of the 62 alone. The closest to factory would be the stocker on top.

depends on how much $$ you want to part with

on a budget stock/ s400 be great everyday driver/tow rig

62/65/13ss / s400 would be the kine setup for what it sounds like your looking for , but that kit will set you back a lot more

either way nathan is a good honest guy to deal with & he will set you up with something that will work good & MPI fit, finish , & performance has set the high bar in the industry for twin kits !

I like my stocker/s400. However, I have yet to tow with it. I also expect to dyno in the upper 600s and run in the low 12s.

Looks like you've had a lot of projects. How did the 5" exhaust turn out?

Awsome. 3' piece of pipe off the downpipe and then a 51" donaldson and that met right up to the tailpipe. I still need to get a big ol' fat 6" tip for it though.

With my current set up, anything under 40mph and you better have it in 4wd if you're gonna mash the throttle. For example, cruising at 30mph (where my A3k turbo would have been at no boost or only 1 or 2 psi) it is running about 10psi, so when you mash it, it GOES!!! Actually caught me off guard the first time. Smoke with the TNT maxed out and the mp8 on tells me I could have went bigger, but I wanted this set up for towing. I could probably throw a small shot of N2O on there, but I think the wife might finally put her foot down if I bring up that subject.
