MPI twins installed with pics

Well let me just say the install was a little more than I tought. I had no clue instead of bending things or cuting them, Nathan fabs up new coolant lines for the rear and a new tranny dipstick. This kit fits together perfect, the turbo bracket for the primary is perfectly placed, and while the S480 is huge their is plenty of room to check clamps, and work with this kit installed.

Almost their

I just noticed I dont have any fully installed pics , guess I was a little excited to drive it. I havent had much drive time and I am still breaking her in. Sadly we re used the oil feed line to the primary from my old kit and the flare in the line has cracked. Sending alot of oil on my new big girl. So the truck is down. Never fear Tim has overnighted parts and I should be back up and running this weekend.
Its funny Tim may make a mechanic out of me yet, well ok maybe a helper . I have my entire primary charger in pieces in my living room awaiting a new oil feed, if thats not scary I dont know what is . If you would have told me two weeks ago that I would attempt such a thing I would have laughed.
Well I will post more about how they drive next week when I get some more seat time.

Big thanks To Tim and Tim at TRE, and Nathan at Maxamized Performance...

As far as what psi, I havent found enough road to do a WOT run but Im going to limit her to 60-65 as I only have studs and dont need a blown gasket. As far as what will they make, I think its whatever you want the bottom charger is huge. I know of someone that was pushing 80+ with a very similar set up. But it would take a lot of testing and a Drive pressure gauge to figure max usable good boost. So the answer is I have no clue but Im sure at 60-65psi Im barely working the set up.

I know how you feel Ryan, my comfort level working on my truck has increased significantly since I watched/helped Tim with my truck, he is a great guy. Jay

55-62. They were so fast to spool sometimes you would get boost spikes up around 62 but for the most part 52-55. And suprisingly I only barked them once or twice.

How much difference is there between the BD twins and Nathan's twins as far as spool up and so on?

Well Nathan builds eack kit for what your needs are. We are not comparing apples to apples so its tuff to say. Yes spool up is a little slower but again I havent broken everything in and tuned it yet. What I can say is my set from Nathan is an extremley streetable set but will still be able to put down 800hp on #2 only. Of course this is subject to tuning.
I liked my BD set but again when it comes to the fit and finish of Nathans kit their is no comparison his is far superior.
Its all in what you want to do with the truck. For most an off the shelf set like BD will do great. I just wanted more...Rye.
