mods and twins

hi again to all. i plan on doing twins but i have alot of work to do before i get them.

after reading a ton about what i need to support them i kinda came up with a list. my goal is to be around 650- 700hp. let me know if i missed anything

fass 150
stage 3 cp 3 or go with 2 cp 3's
smarty
fully built tranny from gorans
flux 3's or bigger
mp 8

still havent decided on what twin set up to go with

it is my dd and cant have it down too long but my buddy down the road from me has a 4 dr duly with twins with over 800 hp so i need to pick his brain a little along with him helping me tune them

i have around $13g's to spend ............so i hope i have enough lol

thanks again for the help

That fully built Garmon or Goerend trans is goin to set you back about 7 or 8k just to give you a heads up. plus your goin to need it with what your wanting.

But with what you have looks good as for a list. For twins start looking at a 64/480 setup.. There a few threads on here about them. Also you will need some head studs when you get those twins.

Good luck and keep us posted.

You have a decent plan there. I made over 700 with flux 3's so you are good there. A Floor it stage 3 will support those nozzles no problem. Tranny, smarty mp-8... check. I don't see studs... you will need them. ARP 2000 is fine.

On the twin setup, I'll have to disagree with the above recommendation. It's too big for 700hp and won't be as fun to drive with the lag. Look at a 62 over s476-78. You want to fit the setup to your goal... too much extra turbo is just wasted in lag and $$$ to buy.

BD r700 twins would be perfect. There are other setups as well that support that hp range, shop around see what you like.

If you had a lot of dough, the hot ticket right now is the 62mm BW efr turbo over a Garrett gtx4508. That is good to 800+ hp and spools like crazy.

as for the turbos.......... i think a 64 / 478

iv read alot of good things with them

how much more is the other set up you were talking about

is it worth getting ball bearing turbo's ?

about 3x more.... :-(

Only you can decide if it is worth it for BB. It adds 50% to the cost.

if you are running the larger primary (s478), you don't need the larger secondary (64) and it just costs more and lags more.
Example 1A: bd r700's designed to keep 700 cool but can go to mid 700. it is a 57 over s476.... BD just designed them right.

Those BW turbos only have a couple sizes useful to us right now. In some side to side comparisons, the garrett gtx series has a very slight advantage in overall power for a given size efr turbo. However, the efr turbos simply have too many features built in that the garretts do not have and that makes them the superior choice right now.

Like soul stated above.. the 62 as a top turbo would be better off for your goals.. a 64 is pretty big, and may have a little more lag, while a 62 will light up crazzy fast and supply the bottom charger well.

my fault on the typo.
