MBRP Muffler with aeroturbin 4040?
I've been condering the mbrp muffler with the aero 4040 or 4040l exhaust setup. Any of you guys running this combo. How do you like it? How's it sound? How hard was it it install? Correct me if I'm wrong, does Mark at dppi carry this package? This is my last intake/exhaust mod I'm looking to do.

Thats MR Hoss to you buddy!
I don't THINK that DPPI sells the Aeroturbine, but I could be wrong. I have the full MBRP exhaust on my truck. At first I didn't like the sound, but after a while it kind of grew on me.

01350banshee,
Very doubtful that we will ever carry the Aeroturbine, we do have a complete performance replacement muffler for the 2004.5's + that uses the factory pipes and bolts into place of the stock muffler using the stock rubber hangers to the welded hangers on our performance muffler system. It's built from T-409 stainless liek the stock system so it matches up and uses our same type of muffler with the ceramic blanket and stainless steel wool for the packing material. Easy install and does the job of dropping EGTs real well, we alos have cat test pipes for those that do off road and racing too!

I just got my Aeroturbine 4040 kit installed; I got it from here http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/exhaust2 for 449.00. It sounds awesome on the freeway, and it’s quieter than stock at idle. It used all the stock hangers and it was a breeze to install.
I also put on the Cool Blue hoses, all of them. They look awesome and sound great!

Do you guys do installs? I recall in another post you mentioned you installed plenty of them. If so, maybe you can hook me up. As I don't have the proper tools to do cutting if it's required. I'm not to far from your location also. PM me with the price of your set up.

Either the 4040 or 4040L Aeroturbines are a good addition to any aftermarket 4" exhaust for the new Dodge. The trick is to install the Aeroturbine as far forward int he system as possible. It will sound great and help to lower EGTs even more. On the 03-04 they can be mounted right on the down pipe and on the 04.5-05 with the cat can be mounted on the outlet of the cat. The Aeroturbines also work great without another muffler in the system. We have an Aeroturbine 4040 installed ont he DP of the 2004 truck in our shop with the Silverline exhaust and it is a great set up with no drone.

My truck had a 4040 and the exhaust drone while towing was unacceptable. Moved it forward and installed a ROKKTECH Silent Might in the stock muffler location. Great!

For what its worth I have a 4040XL in place of the stock can and it sounds great with no drone. I left the cat on because of local laws. Has a nice low growl when you put your foot in it but not super loud.
