I have a 4" MBRP right from the downpipe and no cat it sounds sorry to say gutless, the 04.5's have a gutless exhaust note any suggestions, maybe throw the cat back on?? But I don't want the EGT's to go back up or maybe is there a muffler out there that can make them sound quiter yet not so hollow??

 

I have the same setup on my '05 and I thought the same thing at first. After some miles (I don't recall exactly how many), it'll sound better. It must be the soot building up inside the new pipe/muffler...but it definitely sounds less hollow. And then be sure to throw on an intake like the AFE Stage II and remove the silencer ring...it'll sound great!

 

Ya I have put maybe 8,000 Miles on it, your right it has gotten better but still wouldn't mind some different muffler/cat ideas cause I find it to hollow and loud P.S Already have AFE should I definetly remove the silencer ring?? I do love that turbo sound

 

I heard an 06 with the MBRP single full exhaust, no cat, last friday. Brand new only had about 5 miles on the new exhaust. Sounded REALLY good. Good enough to convince me to go with their system, except I will be getting their dual set-up.
