Im going w/ twins on my 06, is there any advantage using an aftermarket manifold vs a 24v stocker besides flow?

 

The three piece design ATS uses eliminates cracking problems from heat expansion.

 

The cracking problem is not very common.It does happen but not very often.I have buddies with bombed 24V's that still run the stocker and have had no failure issues.If money is an issue then I would run a stocker,if its not go ahead and get the 3 piece.I have 2 24V's that are moderately bombed and they weigh in at 18K lbs gross combined weight everyday.The egts are always on the upper edges of safe and still on the stock manifolds with over 170K miles on both trucks.

 

3rd Generation Dodge trucks with the 600 series motor (2004.5+) and newer have a single opening or single volute exhaust manifold/ turbo combination. This design does not utilize the engines individual cylinder pulsing action to drive the turbo faster from slower speeds. When a customer upgrades their OE turbo to an aftermarket turbo it is highly recommended that they upgrade to a pulse manifold as well. As this will ensure the pulse action is not wasted and will spool the turbo faster.
