Magnaflow Exhaust

I was told by a friend that does fabrication work that 304 is the better material. I think I am going to order exhaust soon, just not sure what I want. I'm afraid 5' will be overkill and too loud when I plow this winter. Maybe I will just put the MBRP exhaust on, but I can't find a 304 stainless turbo back system anywhere I look.
MBRP is the way to go. I have a friend that has Magnaflow on his 6.0 and I am not impressed with it at all. The MBRP fits much better and has a one piece tail pipe vs. a two piece on the Magnaflow. Their mufflers are also a different design. They have small holes about 1/8" throughout the inside of the muffler where the MBRP has a spiral flow design with rear facing louvers. The MBRP muffler does not have a weld going the full length of the muffler where the Magnaflow is welded the full length of the muffler leaving a place for rust to develop faster on the T-409 stainless. If you want to check the quality of stainless, get a magnet and stick to it. If it sticks it has a greater iron content and will rust. A magnet will stick to 409 and will not stick to 304. MBRP has a 5 year warranty on the 409 and lifetime warranty on the 304. Also if you run 5" on an engine that is less than around 500 hp you will lose low end power because you will have slower turbo spool up.
I helped a friend with an '05 replace his stock exhaust with a 5" Magnaflow turbo back stainless(don't know the #) and it came out perfect. Great fit and zero drone. He does have a reg.cab though which diminishes exhaust sound. The welded hangers and stainless band clamps were a major inprovement over my Jardine aluminized system I installed five years ago.

I have the Magnaflow #15989 5" System on my truck and it's great.
Just like Danderson stated, they're an excellent system straight outta the box.......nothing to tweak or bend. The 5" stainless steel band clamps are nice, too.
The 6" x 15" Flo-Pro Stainless Steel Tip help keeps the rear quarter and bumper a little clear of soot unless the Juice w/Attitude is on 5x5.
