Low EGT's

I have a 2006 3500 6spd and from the time i bought the truck three years ago it has always had low Egt's. I have tried three different gauges, wiring, and probes from two different compaines. Two from ISSPRO and one from Glow something, I cant remember the name. My truck has an cold air intake, MBRP exhaust turbo back, Bullydog Pup programmer, and just recently Integrity Plus 50hp injectors. Still i cant get the Egt's above 900* even when towing a 25' gooseneck and 8,000lbs of lumber. Egt probe is mounted on manifold before turbo.

No that's way low if your egt gauge is in the exhaust manifold. Have you changed the probe with each gauge? Do you have it at the proper depth in the manifold. An 06 stock will hit 1300+ towing and after you run it, it takes time to get back down to under 350-400 for shut down.
Something's not right.

I went back and checked all the connections and even relocated the probe to the top manifold near cylinder #3 and made a pull from Va to Nc and back (600) miles total and still could'nt get a reading above 1,000* I guess i will replace the probe, box, gauge, and try it again.

My 06 has the probe in the manifold closer to number 4 to get the temps from 4,5,6. Daily driving I will hit 900° when pushing it. I have never seen over about 1100° even towing 6,000 pounds in the summer heat of West TX, Arizona. I run the Smarty Jr with no muffler and modded air box and air intake tube to turbo.

I do still think your numbers are low with a gooseneck and 8,000 lbs of lumber.

i purchased another probe this one is 0-1600* where the other one was 0-2000*. My gauge is 0-1600*, not sure if that makes a difference.

Yeah, I'm thinking that will have an affect!

Yeah those are fantasy numbers, I can dump it past 1100 anytime in overdrive, cruising empty. Towing heavy I've cruised at 1050-1150.

Probe didnt change anything so I started changing amplifiers and found that the one I had on the truck was bad. So problem solved!

Same as Rye, pulling a load I get the warning buzzer to go off on the Edge, it is set at 1350*, I then back out and shift down...
