Lovin' the triple dog over here..

New to DTR and new to the cummins as well. Just traded out of an 05' powerstroke. After breaking the truck in for 1500 miles, I wanted a little more throttle response. I installed an airaid intake and went to try a few programmers. Local shop let me try what they had. First was a flashpac, it was o.k., but disappointing after coming from the 6.0 w/ a programmer. Next was the triple dog w/ the low end enhancement turned on. The throttle response is really unbeleivable and the power on the extreme setting is good. The change on the fly also seems like it's very handy. I just cannott get over how well the dog's power suits my light part throttle driving style. The shop called and asked if I wanted to try an edge product and I told them I'd come in and pay for the bully dog tomorrow. It's a done deal.

triple dog is good power just watch trans temp and how much go pedal you use with the triple dog turned up will very quickly burn up clutches.

Thanks for the tip. I will probably put on one of the oversized tranny pans soon, along with a tranny temp gauge, egt gauge, and boost guage. I also need to ditch the stock muffler w/ something a little more free flowing.

I'm going to turn down the power to economy/tow or the performance mode tomorrow. I'm gonna skip the crazy larry d.l. until well into the future, or at least until I wanna do a built tranny and converter.

Happy with my triple dog myself.
Haven't tried Crazy Larry, but my clutch is holding out fine on Extreme.
CL would toast it real good I think...

I have run CL for about 30k... My tranny is really starting to show some wear at a total of 83k miles... I would reccomend you turn the Low End power off. The stock tranny shifts weird with it enabled - Extreme is a great tune for a stock tranny... kinda wished I had kept it till I had a tranny built.

I been running crazy larry for about 6 months and its finally starting to slip my clutch a little bit so i turned it down to performance stage, and its been holding up good until i get my new clutch in the mail.

I run mine (with the low end power) on top of the QZilla xzt. I keep it between stock & tow/econo and am perfectly happy. That low end power added really gives me a good seat of the pants feel (in a good way ) I see some trans slip if I really get on it on performance.

If its npot already on your list get some guages.

I saw the same thing (between 3rd / 4th) if I hit it hard on the higher settings. I started to anticipate this with about 3/4 throttle and get back on it after the shift. I'm hoping with a little help from goerends will solve both the slip and the weird shift.

Any advantage to the torque management settings with a standard tranny?

my truck acted different than yours... my 1 to 2 shift was in and out... I couldnt take off at 1/2 thottle at all, it would be up and down several times before i got up to the point of 3rd gear. Cant wait for my DTT either
