So i have been thinking about tuning my truck for sometime now and think this summer is the time to do it. I have a 03 5.9l with roughly 112k miles (mostly highway). 4" Turbo back bully dog exhaust with 5" tip, bull dog intake, boost fooler, Banks Power wastegate, gauges( EGT, Trans, Boost). I spike about 27lbs of boost now and have adjusted the wastegate at all. Everything ive researched has led me to the Smarty tune with a Air dog fuel pump, i would also install a fuel pressure gauge. What's your insight?

 

You just can't go wrong with the Smarty!!

 

not to bash on a smarty, (never owned one) but i love my Edge Juice w/ Attitude.

maybe head studs too? if you plan on wrenchin that wastegate. ive had those Big Heads in all 3 Cummins' that ive owned, and all of them made me notice a good difference in boost over a stock one. especially when they look like this factory one on my 12v when i bought it

and fuel pump is a must?

 

My Crazy Larry won't drain the rail, but I'd guess it's a wise choice anyway. You are planning on trans upgrades right? LOL.
