Looking for some thoughts..

Ok this might be a dumb thought or not..

I use to run my twin turbo mustang, twin 62mm... on the street all day long and in traffic and this is South Texas we all know its hot here.. Anyways.. I use to run and air-to-air intercooler, like our Dodges..

The i upgraded to an air-to-water intercooler and i had a 5 gallon water box that was insolated that i filled with ice and water and man alive, i could spin the tires at a 70mph roll, i mean it became a beast when i had ice in there.. It was a b**** to hook up..

The air-to-air didnt run any hotter then the air-to-water..

I mean could this be done to a diesel intercooler??

I mean it could be the stupidest thing i have ever thought up..

Then again, forgetting to put a jet in a NOS line was pretty stupid, yep i sprayed ALOT of NOS in that car, and it went B-O-O-M!!!!!!!!!

I'm just lookin for your guys opinion on this..

depends on how much boost you were running in the stang I know it was not to much or you would of been changing head gaskets all the time. and it depends on were you were on the map of the turbos or if they were surging or not might of made more heat but after you change the head gaskets afew times you start to figure it out pertty quick

Another intercooler..electric.

There is also a electric intercooler that is being developed here in Albuquerque. The owner has just presented it to Ford and sells a kit for ..I think was about $1100.00. It dropped the temp about 180 degrees. If you want I can call Joe (the owner) and get his business number for more info if you want.

Thermoelectric cooler..

The same principal as the little coolers that you plug into your electric socket to cool your sodo pop without ice. Reverse the system and it heats. Was invented about 100 years ago.
