Is Line X different in Ca.?
I was just told by a friend that I should have my truck done in Reno (Nevada) because of the different material they use. He said it's alot better because Ca. has so many regulations with pollution stuff. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

I can neither confirm nor deny this. I had mine done at the Line-X dealer in Oceanside, and I can't tell the difference between mine and one done in another state. Mine is just as hard and just as thick.
So, if you want to spend the money to go to Reno, then get it done there, and have a little vacation while you are there.

Well, I can't see myself going to Reno or anywhere else out of Ca. just to have my bed liner done, it will be done here more than likley. I was just curious if there was in fact a difference.

Yes, in Ca they are required to use a low VOC (Volitile Organic Compound) product!
I'm a painting contractor I know!
Get it done out of state if possible!

I am just curious, and trying to save a member from spending money that he really _doesn't_ have to.

Usually it means that the product is somewhat compromised in that it will not flow or harden as the product would out of state.
Basically softer, less sticky, less reliable product and less build of it.

But, to restate what I said before. I can't find any difference in mine. It is very hard, I would assume the sticky is in the application, and if it is less reliable, they can reapply it.....still has the guarantee in the bed.
