Lift Help.!!
Lift Help.!!
Well i got my lift installed by this smaller operation that claimed they have installed lots of lifts.( Just didnt have time to do it myself). Well couldnt pick it up in time before closing but they left the keys out and i picked it up when it was done right away i noticed something was wrong. The truck seemed off center.. Looked in my mirrors i could see one tire alot more than the other.. DOG LEG.!! parked it on the driveway and yep the drivers front tire is sticking out about 2 inches from the rear.. Called them next day they claim they cant get my truck in for 3 weeks...(BS)...
Im not a mechanic but im mechanicly inclined... I was wondering if any one has any thoughts or ideas as to what is wrong... Control Arms installed wrong?
Also when i start up the truck has a rear end hop almost... Im thinking due to the dog leg.. Any Help would be GREATLY appreciated as i want to tackle this one as i need the truck asap... Thank You

I have to agree with the trackbar. What lift is it? It should have come with something for the track bar. Either a track bar or a drop bracket is required. If you don't have either than there is nothing you can do yourself until you get the required parts.
Personally I myself would drive back over there and have a discussion with them face to face.

if the pitman arm was installed without a track bar bracket, wouldn't his ride/handling be really bad? any one with any experience with lifts, knows you're not supposed to use a drop pitman arm without a drop bracket for the track bar, and i've never seen a kit that came with a pitman arm that didn't include something to address the track bar (usually any 4+" kit).
It will still work w/o relocating the trac bar w/ the drop pitman arm. Just your demension is off and I bet if he drives around for a while. He probably going to get a pretty good wobble up front
. The trac bar bushings will wear quick....
Also depends how high this lift is (if its not the 04.5 in his sig).

Sorry about the delay in responding..(Family Life)..
I bought a 6" Superlift again.. The track bar drop bracket is mounted and the track bar is connected to the bottom of it.. I think the problem might be is a got custom front coils that measure 24 1/4 inches and superlift are 23 1/4.. This inch might make the track bar to short.??
What i did catch is the drag bar was mounted to the pitman arm without giving the knuckle end piece a 180 degree twist and it looks like now where my drag link connects to my tire rod end knuckle is popped out.
Still not sure as to what exactly is wrong any help would be amazing thanks alot guys!!
