leveling kit - will these shocks work?

I found a good deal on a set of Fabtech FTS7236 Shocks.

I believe they will work for the front of an '04 with a 2" leveling kit.

Anyone used these or know?

Thanks
Shawn

I ran stock shocks for a month or so with DayStar 2" leveling kit on mine. When I had the 315s put on I went with Rancho 9000Xs that were stock replacement shocks. They have been on for 40,000 miles now with no problems.

You are doing the right thing by asking around . However , it will be difficult for anyone to give you good info since you do not have your leveling kit yet . For example , do you plan to use spacers keeping your factory springs ? Do you plan on getting taller coils , and what is the spring rate . All these factors must be considered . I got lucky . I got the Skyjacker 2.5in. lift coils and Bilstein 5100 shocks . This combo works great for me , but I have a Warn heavy duty bumper ( 400#) . This combo would have been way to stiff without that extra weight . I also purchased Bilstein 5100s for the rear . However , they are to stiff for me . I should have got the lightly valved bilsteins that Kore tweeks and sells on their web site. They are designed for best ride when empty or lightly loaded . I would get a set-up that several others are using and give good reports on . Otherwise , you are taking a chance . Hope this helps .

My apologies for the misunderstanding.

The leveling kit is already installed, and it's a Daystar kit (2" or 2.5", whatever they sell, but not the smaller one).

I ordered bilsteins that got back ordered. Found out they ride a little rough, so cancelled them. But, I went ahead and installed the leveling kit.

I do a lot of mild to rough beach driving, and the wheel travel will probably exceed the stock shocks.

Thanks
Shawn
