Dual Shocks and 2" leveling kit

I would like to add dual shocks and a 2" leveling kit on my "baby". I have seen several models of the leveling blocks and don't see any reason why I can't build a set. I don't see why they are so expensive. They look pretty simple to build. I have been a machinist and welder most of my life and have always built what I wanted. If anybody has a set they haven't installed yet I sure could use some measurements. Will the stock shocks still fit?

Also want to add the shock mount to the front. That looks like a straight forward weekend project too. Have to compare the pictures I have seen and take a few measurements and see what I can do.

Anybody interested in a set? After the first one the rest are easy.

Blocks are a joke to make or go to canadian tire up here and get a universal set with ubolts for about 15 bucks cdn not even worth my time to make em! We used a set to lower a buddies 93 dakota just (2) 2" blocks under each side! Got her down!
Will the stock shocks still fit?
Yes - I've put the 2" leveling kit on the 3 Dodge CTD's I've owned. I've gone with the Daystar "poly" (about $170 a pair) and the Tuff Country cast steel (about $75). Both worked fine.

Though I've seen recommendations from the factory saying you'll need new shocks - I figured I'd try it and see. Heck, if I blow out the shocks, no big deal, eh? But, I've yet to have the stock shocks go bad - guess I'll just keep waiting.

I've heard others say the stock shocks won't have the travel to accomdate the 2" lift. I've not had this problem either.

Well - maybe I'm just lucky. We'll see...

Best to y'all
Bill
