Choices

If you had a choice what would you choose? I have an 05 cummins. I want Navigation and power increases.

1) A2/juice combo

2) Garmin street map c330 and quadzilla 100hp box

I already ordered the Garmin but the more I look at the A2, the more I want it. anyone have these boxs or have any problems with it? I have read through threads and heard interesting things about the Quad but nothing about the A2/juice.

thanks and sorry for this in depth question on my first post.

the price sucks IMO. I mean you pay almost $1000 for A2 option over the normal juice.

you can get nav for less than $1000 so if you don't mind running a box and nav it will save you money. I mean it is tom tom nav and you can buy that for $600.

I would do in dash nav and then the normal juice. then again I hate looking at crap sticked to a dash or suctioned onto a window. I have this setup now it and looks very clean. I have the rb4 but you can get either the rb4 or rb1 off ebay.

the only option on the A-2 that some of the other nav will not do is the back up camera.

Who is the r4 or r1 made by, I tried searching ebay and came up with nothing for them unless I type in just r4, then it comes up with a bunch of junk/shoes. Would you pick the edge/juice over the quadzilla?

thanks.

rb1 is made by harmon internatinal. (jbl, harmon kardon, infinity)

rb4 is made by alpine.

rb1 is dvd based, includes one disk, it has a cooler looking gui. you can see the roads and things like that. I about ran off the road in my sisters grand cheerokee staring at it though.

RB4 is CD based, two disc's (east and west), has memory to alow you to store the detination so you can still listen to cd's, it does not really have a map view though it just tell you where to turn what way to turn etc.

if you dont have a separte changer the rb4 is nice becasue of the memory feature.

here is a page that describes them a bit.

http://www.wjjeeps.com/nav.htm

I have used them both. If you like to see the "map" look you may want the rb1. If you want to listen to cd's wile using the nav the RB4 is the way to go. I do like the look of the RB1 but like I said you can get caught looking a little too much like I did in my sisters rig. where with my RB4 the chicks voice just comes on tell you where to go and it give you arrows and street names. the fit and finish of the two of them is great though. take advantage of the 1.5 din opening in the dash.

I got a rb4 from a friend and I was wondering if you need a code for any anti-theft features when installing in my truck.
