Leveling kit

Is there any reason to use a 2 inch leveling kit instead of the 2.5? I noticed the 2.5 had a lower rating on the website I was looking at.

Thanks

I think anything over 2in would really need an adjustable track bar. You can get away with just an alignment with 2in.

Ok I went with the 2.5 springs and the thuren adjustable track bar. My next question is do can I put these springs in my self or do I have to have a shop do it. How do I know how much to adjust the track bar or is it obvious?

If you have access to a lift it can be done pretty easy. I supported the truck with the lift and put a jack under the axle. Unbolt the trackbar and front shocks. Then just lower axle until springs come out. It took less than 2 hours with beer breaks when I did mine.
They say with a 2in kit it moves the axle 1/2in to passenger side, so you might be able to adjust it out or let the alignment shop do it.
