Leveling kit
Is there any reason to use a 2 inch leveling kit instead of the 2.5? I noticed the 2.5 had a lower rating on the website I was looking at.

I think anything over 2in would really need an adjustable track bar. You can get away with just an alignment with 2in.

Ok great ive already ordered an adjustable track bar to get rid of the death wobble
thanks |
Ok I went with the 2.5 springs and the thuren adjustable track bar. My next question is do can I put these springs in my self or do I have to have a shop do it. How do I know how much to adjust the track bar or is it obvious?

I have the 2 inch leveling kit on my 2wd with no issues.

If you have access to a lift it can be done pretty easy. I supported the truck with the lift and put a jack under the axle. Unbolt the trackbar and front shocks. Then just lower axle until springs come out. It took less than 2 hours with beer breaks when I did mine.
They say with a 2in kit it moves the axle 1/2in to passenger side, so you might be able to adjust it out or let the alignment shop do it. |
