last donaldson question FOREVER!

at least from me...

M090544= 4"in/out, 9"dia., 51"long w/baffle

What is the part # of this same muffler minus the baffle?

I have probably read every thread on donaldsons and have never run across the answer.

Thanks,
Mike

86131M = 44.5 inch (this is the “open” 51 inch Donaldson…2000CFM)
86108M = 44.5 inch (this is the “closed” or baffled 51 inch Donaldson…1600CFM)

Just get a 30" magnaflow, the longer model sounds very mellow in 4", not loud at all.

Here is a link to the one I installed. 51" x 10" dia. x 5" in/out.

I works great and flows better than what you have listed so far. I left the baffle in as I believe it directs some of the flow through the outside chamber closest to the inlet. I know a lot of people just pound out the baffle, but I believe it defeats the purpose of sound deadening by not letting the muffler do its designed job.

If the muffler I installed flows more with a baffle in place than the 4" models without a baffle. Then leave the baffle in place to allow the muffler to do it's job properly. That is why I installed that 5" inlet & outlet muffler. Very quiet and I know it flows more than any 4" in/out.

Whats up Mike!
I would invest in a MBRP 4". My neighbor thinks my truck is suppa cool. He keeps telling me how one day he would like to buy one. I told him I would open up the shop on the weekend and help him install it. Hey if you live on the same island I will offer you the same. Only if you buy the beers and steaks. My neighbor offered me to take me deep sea fishing on his boat, but I think I will pass. I havent seen his boat move in months. The last thing I need is to be playing Gilligans Island!! Hey PM me and lets DO IT!!

wANNAgO,

There is nothing wrong with going out and buying every product out there that promises to do this, that and whatever, but often there are better ways, and yes more affordable ways to do them yourself, and later when the day is done there is a sense of pride knowing that you did it yourself.

Now pride is something that cant be taught, you just have it in you. It's alright, not everyone has it so dont feel bad (there are lots of people like you).

Anyway Edit,
I have one question for you before I go.

Is the party at your house or mine tonight?
