Yeah got it today and downloaded sw 3, lag before turbo gone and lots of pull , now some questions I am driving across canada hauling 6 -7000 lb trailer what should I have it on, should i get the guages and what ones do I need, and what else should I be watching for and hav you guys ever put gas in your truck by mistake, my father put 40 bucks of regular in her what to do and will that bit of gas screw anything up, i put in conditioner plus topped her with diesel didnt think it would hurt much not runnin straight gas

How much diesel was in before the 10 gallons of gas? I think there is a problem. Even with 1/3 gas mix there is an issue. Drain and refill before any more damage is done.

tank was about half full and gas here is a buck 40 a litre so just over 7 gallonsits been in for a few days, havent noticed anything what type of damage can I expect i know it burns hotter but its a pretty low ratio, but yeah if you thing i should drain it maybe i will, didnt think it would do much harm in a low dase like that

 

I know you said you put conditioner in it but did it have a lubricant in it also? Thats what I would fear the most is lack of lube to the CP3. Gas usually damages diesels from lack of lube and the fuel timing. Gas burns a lot faster than diesel and ignites faster. Its like adding a ton of timing to it. When engines come into the shop from gas the piston crowns are usually melted down and 1 or more are burned through. That is on strait gas though. I think I would load a odd number software on the Smarty to reduce timing and run a quart or two of heavy motor oil in the fuel just to be extra safe. You will know if its causing a problem, it will rattle like its falling apart. I sometimes think the ULSD is half gas anyway. It smells a lot like it anyways.

Pour in a gallon of non detergent 30w oil or TCW3 two stroke mixture oil and drive it.

I don't think 30w oil is any good. It will pool at the bottom of the tank and not mix very well. If adding any oil, 2-stroke premix is the way to go. It's designed to mix well. Either way, adding fuel after the oil should agitate the tank some to mix the oil better...

 

you would probably need Boost, Egt, and Tranny Temp (for an auto) gauges. not sure if it is worth getting the Fuel Pressure Gauge or not though
