Your also talking to someone that has taken more then 100 1/4 mile runs (easily) in my truck, I'm not some newbie thats never seen the 1320.

My 5000ft above sea level i was referring to was at bandimere. good to hear you arent running much different with elevation.

mb889: not sure yet. im waiting until i get an SCT so when i go to bandimere i can run it stock then SCT right after. best ive seen is a high 15 for a stock 6.4l but they launched with LOTS of boost. average is mid 16's.

Out of sight to be honest i cant say i do. maybe if i saw your truck i would!

Viking.... I run slower in 2wd. Having the front wheels pulling doesnt give much, if any of a drivetrain loss. Look at the diesels in the 11's and 12's. They are 4x4s running down the track in 4wd

Are you trying to say it's faster launcing in 2wd than using 4wd?

drivetrain loss would not be an issue in 4wd if you mean losing speed from launching in 4wd but if you mean launching in 4wd gives you broken drive train than get full billit internals. but i have drag raced many times and some of the best launches of any vehicle that I have been in has deffianalty come out of 4wd diesel trucks it allows you to spool up to a high ammount of boost without tire spin. go to compdiesel.com they have some good drag racing vids of guy's launchuing in 4wd running in the 11 second range. With out slicks in 2wd you'd be hard pressed to get in the 12's or even low 13's for that matter.

I launch in 4wd and have ran very low 12's. Here are 2 12.4 videos. I even spin in 4wd with 35" tires...i guess a 30PSI launch will do that. StrokethisCTD, it was as a shop in denver i belive, my truck was much different then, i think i even asked you to borrow your bullydog so i could try it, i ended up leaving after seeing them abuse vehicles on the dyno though.

interesting, so drivetrain loss isnt a problem with our trucks and launching in 4WD will be the best by far??? Funny, b/c S4's, STI's and all other AWD cars suffer from drivetrain loss off a roll and obviously aat higher speeds

Yes, 4wd launches will produce the best times...by far. That might not be the case at 300hp where traction isn't a problem in 2wd, but at 400-500+ you will just spin tires.

Not sure what you mean about the AWD cars. ALL cars/trucks will have some amount of drivetrain loss at any speed. The reason our trucks don't lose much power in 4wd is because the whole front end and driveshaft is always turning even in 2wd.

You get that thing to a track yet???
