He probably needs a tranny to get home! Stock trannies aren't too keen on 20psi 4x4 launches with 450+hp.

well, these cars are also driver oriented as well. That driver obviously SUCKS. 4.6l motors have LOTS AND LOTS OF mods for them and depending which 4.6l you buy as well. My 03 Cobra I had has the strongest motor from any production car beating the supra in the strongest bottom end. 03/04 Cobra = pretty much bullet proof.

Who did that bottom end comparison? It's odd to compare the strengh of a Toyota straight 6 with a Ford V8.

I hear what you're saying about the 03/04 being the strongest bottom end of the 'Stangs though. That's probably only because so many of the 5.0's like to split in half at 500hp.

I still can't associate anything Ford has ever made with being "bullet proof" though!

I raced an Infinity Q- version of the nissan 300z the other night and pulled him hard 4-5 times. The guy was pushing it hard and reving the hell out of every shift. i could see him getting POed. On the last run i did a 15 PSI 4wd launch and pulled hard to 75MPH where we had to lift. I had him by over a length and was pulling farther at every shift. We stopped and talked after and he was in serious disbelief. I told him not bad for twice your weight.

And where does the speed gov start at, with my edge i can go 120+

you probably have 3.73s and a bigger tires helping out even more your overall gear ratio...I have 4.10s and am governed at 100mph...even if I wasn't governed, I am at about 3000-3100RPMs at that point anyway...reckon I need bigger tires

Here are my two vehicles. the car is domesticated rice a 05 Cobalt SS supercharged stage 2 with a CAI and GMPP exhaust. It is probably the toughest car to race from a dead start. I can consistently get it out of the hole, but at about 85+ it starts to get the Dodge. I raced the Cobalt at Beaver Springs and turned a 13.8 @107 with a 2.4 60ft. time. The way you get these little ricers with power is with a hard 4x4 launch. Redlight to redlight it rarely gets over 70 mph anyway. Just smoke them out and honk the horn, pointing and laughing. I think I can tow most of them faster that they can drive anyway.

if all you have is the juice/attitude and your lift, i hate to break it to you but you are a high 14 at best. at 5000ft above sea level on stock tires with the juice/attitude on 5/5 launching at 12psi boost my truck ran a 15.000@92 as the quickest and a 15.2@91 as the slowest. this is over a 20 run span in the same night.

forgot to say my truck was an 04.5 2500 QC SB 4x4 No muffler/cat, intake baffles removed, stock 48RE, Juice/Attitude.

I killed a powerjoke the other day. I meet the guy (punk little turd) on a jobsite I was working at and he said his 03 6.0 was pushing 650 hp to the tires (said he had it on the dyno the other day) I asked him if I could see the dyno sheet and he said "I must have lost it, I cant swear it was here in my truck" I told him lets line them up so I can prove his was full of it. So we did, and I killed the crap out of him. He tried to run away but I followed him. His reason for losing was his air filter was dirty and was'nt getting enough air for his twins!! He would not pop the hood to show me his twins. I love ford guys

It's ok. Everyone knows the Powerjokes can't compete.

Man, you should be giving Warren Miller credit when using his signature phrase like that!

Let's keep to the topic at hand and not turn it into a brand bashing thread.
