Just had FASS TTTTTT installed

Guys, I just had a FASS with in tank pick up installed today. The original pickup was filled with crud and gel and it was amazing I had any fuel. What a difference!!!! I can now run 7/7 8/8 and even 9/9 and not run out of fuel. I cut out a 4" hole in the air box and temps dropped about 50 deg and turbo gained 3 psi of boost. With the FASS the temps appear to have dropped about 150 deg at WOT and boost is up 6psi. Before I started this I was getting 26 psi and now I'm spiking to 35 psi and holding 32 psi and staying cool 1350 or less. I now have my personal land rocket. It only smokes hard on start up in 9/9. Boost as a result of fueling fast is almost instantaneous so the smoke if any clears up real quick or I've accelerated so fast the smoke is long gone . I'm a 66 turbo and exhaust away from happiness. We'll see how it tows the new 48' cargo trailer with the new power. Tomorrow is Transcommander and exhaust brake install time..... No use going fast if you can't pull it down hard. Hard to believe that more fuel and faster delivery adds up to cooling runningK.S

Since your up north same as me, I've got a question or thought on my noodle (brain). What happens when its -40 and we have bypassed the stock in canister fuel heater? Not that it every gets that cold north of the 49th regular, but a bear does dump in the woods know what I mean? I know arctic diesels use the espar heaters but last winter when I was on the stock lift pump in the mountains snowmobiling traction, warm fuel and howe's was all I thought off. Been wondering if anti-gell fuel additive will do it alone this year or is there some way to use the stock in canister fuel heater? By the way congrats on the TST I believe that's the way to go, no increased rail pressure and good for you upgrading the tranny you lucky son of a gun. When I get out of the dog house with all the money I,ve spent that's the module for me too!

NJ. I haven't decided yet what the best way to go is. I'm definitely going to use Standyne in every tank from now on. The FASS has a coolant loop in it to pipe the heat through...just have to run the coolant lines and use the block heater. Some have plumbed the lines through the old lift setup. I'd like to do a combo cab, fuel, and coolant heater Maybe 1500 watts electric that pumps warm coolant everywhere. This is ok when you are near juice. A diesel espar or the such may be overkill. I've had -40 many times and didn't plug the truck in any no problem. My diesel mech said that his is a little harder to start at -40 but because the fASS pushes the fuel instead of pulling it to the injection pump its not as much of a problem. The larger fuel lines are also less likely to freeze up. Once the diesel is up to temp the faster circulation should keep the incoming fuel warmer. ks

The FASS has a place to install a heater. I did not bother looking to much in to it since I dont have gelling issues here

I believe the stock fuel filter housing has the element, you would just need to supply 12V's to it.

An additive should help too. I don't think the ESPAR heats the fuel, only the coolant.
