Just dying for a new front bumper....
So after I smacked up my truck I decided I needed a painted front grill. Looks awesome! I also had the body shop paint and install the headlight eyebrows. They give it a cool mean type look.
Now it's time to finally change the front bumper. I was always kicking around the idea of bending two 6" pipes and making the bumper from those. Either powder coating them or using stainless steel.
But looking it over and mocking it up, it makes my truck even longer than it is, and I just have the room in my garage now.
I also thought about getting some chain.... like an ocean liner uses.... and welding the links together to make a bumper. It would be unique!

I wish I had the dough for a replacement HD bumper for mine. With a decent bumper, there would be minimal damage to these trucks. With the stocker, just the opposite. A Denver Offroad one would be super.

So if I resign myself to removing the existing bumper, then I would like something that hangs a little lower to the ground than most guys make. I really don't want to smack a 200 pound deer and then have the thing go under my truck and then under the trailer. And the bumper has to be TOUGH. I want to be able to hit a deer at 70 mph with no damage.
Something like this maybe?

That same manufacturer has an open thread asking for bumper suggestions. You might swing by there and talk with them.
