Just bought first diesel!!!

well after looking for about three months I finally bought my first diesel last week. I got a brand new 06 2500 cummins 4x4. I love this truck and now it's time to start playing with it. I have a couple of questions...

1. what do you all recomend as far as a programer (bully dog, banks, edge...)

2. I want to put some 18's with 33's on it. can I do that with the stock suspension?

Thanks for any input.

1) Personally Bullydog since a programmer was specified. Note: There is such power adding devices as modules and programmers. Modules stay in the truck all the time and intercept computer signal to make power...programmers totally reprogram to make their power.

2) 18's and 33's will fit nicely. 2" leveling kit and you can clear 35"s.

use the SEARCH feature on this site. it helps tons.

Welcome to DTR!! You are just like I was when I joined DTR!! At least you found the right place to get advice!!

First off I'd not put a programmer or a box on it until you have some miles on it! At least 10 thousand or so. Make sure you have any kinks worked out before you bomb. Your mileage will steadily improve while the rings seat and a bomb at this point is not good for proper breakin.

Yes you can run larger tires but getting your speedo corrected is another story (Regular Pita on the 06 from what I've heard).

My opinion why waste the stock tires?? Burn them off!!

By then you may need bombs!!

Again Welcome!
