New to Forum - just a hello, bought my first diesel truck : )

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick hello and to say that I am new to the forum, so please don't flame me for asking "silly" questions that may have been answered 100 times before. If I ask a question you think is silly, please do me the courtesy of not responding with a negative comment. If you have something constructive to say to help me, then by all means please help, but if you are just going to tell me to "use the search" or "that's been answered before" , please don't waste your time or mine.

I will also try to use the search function at all times, but let's be honest, sometimes we just don't have the time to spend, and need an answer quickly to our question.

Thank you all for your understanding. I look forward to getting to know all of you as I learn about my first diesel truck, a 1997 2500 Club Cab 4x4 Long Box Laramie with 220k.

(Even though it needs some trans work, I am so excited, I am picking it up tomorrow!)

Thanks JohnX!

I'll post pics as soon as I get her cleaned up, which may be a while, because I need to put my efforts into dropping the trans first!

Welcome, don't worry people here are way nicer than any forum I've been to. Check out the 350z or Honda forums, they're flat out rude. First thing to do is fill in your sig so we know what truck you've got.

Agreed with webcruizer, I've been here quite a while and somehow they still put up with me! Welcome to DTR, and remember the only dumb question is the one not asked. Check out the Wiki page as well!

Apparently you did not read the forum rules you agreed to when registering on this forum. We do not tolerate profanity on this forum.

Lots of places do on the Internet though so feel free to exercise that right elsewhere, but while on this forum we would appreciate you helping us keep it clean for our women and children members.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I read the rules, but some of us have a different idea of what profane means. I will watch my typing a little closer

Hi Yall

I finally got my dodge and my wrecker the same day. A little under 2 grand and it shows but it runs good and hopefully the tranny will be OK. I have to rework the wrecker part, especially the hydraulics. I need to start making a living with cost of food and fuel skyrocketing and this will hopefully let me do just that and still leave me time to take care of my wife, not a hard nor unpleasant task most of the time.I will post some pics as soon as I figure out how.
