I am looking for a new intake. I built one myself but I wasnt happy with it so I sold it to a buddy of mine. I would build my own whistler but I just want to buy one and be done with it. What would be the best for turbo whistle? I have had pretty good luck with AFE but I want to get something to really make the turbo Sing. Thanks

 

Buy the Amsoil Ea 189 drop in filter and cut a 4 " hole in the bottom of your stock air box. Tubo whistle will be noticable.

 

I just got the AEM workhorse, it does wistle , but I can pull the filter minder down about 3/4 with a stock turbo.

 

I like the AFE II dry or the Workhorse...IMHO the afe II with it's bigger tubing flows more air..but I also really like the all metal tube that the workhorse has.

Thanks for the info 53, it is a big load off my mind. I do like the bling the shinny workhorse adds under the hood.

 

Filter minders are worthless unless they are on a stock airbox and even then it is iffy imho.

 

Im leanin more towards the AFE. I have had good luck with them in the past. I would love a Whistler if you could build one for me ****** lol.
