Installed FS2500 & now weird oil Levels ??

Has anyone had this issue??
I installed the FS2500 bypass filter at 20,000 miles (truck is about 5 months old). I put the system up top. Changed oil - 12 quarts plus 1.5 quarts for the filtering system. If I'm checking the oil when refueling (a old gray haired man's habit), the oil will be to top safe mark. If the truck has set for a half hour, the oil will be 1.5 quarts over the top safe mark.

It seems that the filter system is not holding oil and the 1.5 quarts is drainiing back into the crankcase. The folks at FS2500 says this is not possible. I asked a mechanic who said after engine shutdown, the system may have a residual oil pressure of 2 to 4 psi - enough to shove the oil back down into the crankcase. ????? In any case it is bothersome that the oil level is changing. I'm guessing that if I put the bypass filter on the frame rail, this problem / issue would go away.

I'm building a house in the boonies so I have to go to the library (25 miles) to use the internet.
Thanks

the top end of the engine, turbo, and filters hold alot of oil. after sitting, gravity takes over and fluids move down. where did you mount the fs2500? above or below the pan? if it is above, it will drain down, but will refill once the engine is running

I agree with this comment, after sitting over night my oil reading using a frantz is 1/2 inch over the full line. I have had no problems with my setup, I add 1qt of fresh oil everytime I change a roll of tp. Your just seeing the effects of gravity like dodgezilla said.
