Well it could be you don't hear the whole story when someone tell you something about their HP. Jorge ( Wicked ) who made over 1000hp on nitrous and ran a 10 second pass told me he did a bit over 800hp without the nitrous on his 66.

I was given supposedly the same software he used to make the numbers but, I seriously doubt it was the same. Smarties beta 4.2 blew the doors off that program.

I suppose it could make those numbers but, that'd be pushing it and the engine.

The highest I was able to make on a silver bullet 66 was 705hp uncorrected. I then bought a A5000 which is a 71mm charger and gained 32hp no other changes. At the time I using Flux 5.1s. With 3.8s or so I was down about 40hp same mods. When I went to Nates twins it has gained 100hp over the A5000 so the twins are worth about 140 hp over a 66 charger. Just to give you a idea were you could be. At 700+ though with a 66 your egts will be real hot especially in the summer. Tim

cquestad is right, there is no way you can make that kind of power with that little charger. In Diesel Power he was using the 71 mm, I believe

Thanks for the input Tim. So now with your twins, you've even gone to smaller injectors and gain more HP or are the new tips from Don larger ?

Looks like I have no choice but, to follow in your foot steps to get to those numbers.

cquestad you were correct. The 10s run was done with a 71. When I talked to him after his 1000+ dyno run, he told me it was a 66 ??

The injectors now are smaller. Twins just bring out more usable power. I might try the 5.1s now to see if we can get 925 on diesel but the 4.2s drive real nice. I have no idle haze when the motors warmed up and can be driven in daily use with very little smoke. How many 250hp+ injectors can say the same? Tim

Awesome info! How did the drivability and spool up compare between the silver bullet and the A5k? How much extra fuel if any did you throw at the twins to gain 140 hp? thanks a bunch!

I have seen people gain as much as 75hp with a A5k over a 66. Pourin' had similar results too.

If you want huge numbes out of a drivable single...the A5k is the way to go. Even try the "twins" exhaust housing on it...just to see if you can live with it.

Remember too that Shane-- Luvnacumins-- went from the A5k to twins... I don't want to put words in his mouth, but I don't think he's going back.

just by swapping out the turbo? Or does that including throwing extra fuel into the equation?

I actually took fuel away and increased power. I went from Flux 5.1s to 3.3s when I switched to twins from the A5000 and gained 50 hp. When we tuned the twins a little we gained another 50 hp , still on 3.3s. With the 4.2s and no other changes it jumped another 51hp. As of today we still have less fuel than the A5000 had and have gained about a 145 hp. I have the flux 5.1s in the tool box but have not tried them yet . Tim
