Injector Nozzle cleaning and testing?

In short, hopefully, I recently had all 6 injectors replaced with remans. I paid to have the nozzles that came with the remans sent off to be extrude honed to 50hp - supposedly. So, immediately after install, there was a knock in the engine. It was determined that an injector or nozzle failed. I replaced the injector and bought 6 new 60hp nozzles and replaced them across the board. Obviously, the knock went away.

Now on to the question, the real mechanic forgot to mark or single out the nozzle that was replaced in the knocking cylinder. So I want to attempt to have all 6 nozzles cleaned and tested if possible and then sell them to recoup funds. They have less than 200 miles on them!

I have talked to multiple places in the San Antonio, Houston and Austin, TX area and multiple places out of state to no avail. The original person that did the work in the first place is not a resource any longer...

Anybody know of some place that can help me out? Obviously, I'm OK with paying a fee and shipping etc.

So I have found a shop in Houston, TX that will test flow each nozzle for $40 a pop. Otherwise, I would need an injector body to send in with the nozzles.

You need to have all 6 entire injectors sent off and flow tested, not just the nozzles.

Exergy
Engineered Diesel
Anarchy Diesel
Formula One Diesel

Are a few companies that can perform this service. The first listed is very highly recommended but their tolerances are so high few if any injectors come back with a good result. The truth hurts and injectors are expensive, but the days of simply swapping tips in your garage are gone. These things need to be flow tested, and for top performance balanced to each other.

Good luck.

Thanks Rye, but I already have perfectly working injectors now and new nozzles. The knocking cylinder was located and a new injector with a new nozzle was replaced. As a precaution, if the nozzles that were honed were truly not in good condition, I went ahead and replaced them with new ones. Now I have 6 honed nozzles, 1 of which is possibly bad that I would like to have tested. That way I can sell them truthfully and not hand off my problem to someone else.
