Update. Removed ALL the tunes and returned it to stock. Pulled codes. Two remained. 2127 and 517. 517 is Battery temp sensor, or something along those lines. cleared the codes and the truck fired right over. rail pressure at idle is at 5.5K. Idles smoothly and it does not not die when I drop it into drive. I'm going to put a good charge on the batteries and take it for a drive later today. Thoughts?

crossover cale is cable that connects the two 'batteries' together that runs accost the radiator. known issues of corrosion will make one battery over charge and give funky codes.

Oh! I have both batteries on the driver's side of the truck. They look very clean. I drove it in stock tune and it is rattling a lot. I do have three quarts of 2 cycle oil in this tank, in an attempt to loosen any sticky valves in the system. Could that cause the injectors to rattle more than they should?

Oh yes, I forgot you have them in a different truck... but they are still connected the same.
As for the 2 cycle oil, you don't say how much fuel is mixed in. Three quarts in 5 gallons is different than 3q in 35 gallons. But no, it shouldn't make more noise. Have you tried some of the Power Service stuff? I do both sometimes and it does quiet things down quite a bit.
When was the last time you adjusted the valves?
Idle rail pressure should be more to 5500ish.

Sorry about that. I put three quarts in about 30 gals of fuel. The valves were adjusted when the injectors were replace this past summer. I will try some Power Service and see what that does.

Look under the truck at the crank pulley, there is a tone ring just behind the crank pulley, on the driver's side there is sensor that is very close to the tone ring... make sure that isn't damaged. That sensor affects timing. Just a stab in the dark.

Foolish question - did you get the injectors for the 03-04 trucks? There is a difference.
madhat may be on to something... I forgot about that.
Oh, and that should have read I run both Power Service and Howes Diesel Treat in winter, sometimes summer. Make sure you use the correct product.
I have tried 2 cycle oil. You know you can't use synthetic, right?
Ever hit the cummins forum?

I ordered the injectors from Industrial and gave them the information. I can only assume at this point, that they are correct. They were installed by a mechanic. I'm inning conventional 2cycle oil. Which Cummins forum are you referring to? This is the best one I know of.
I'll check that sensor in the morning. Is the the crank position sensor!
