injector knock or timing rattle?

i tried serching but just found alot of loose ends. i have an old quad box that is pressure and boost fooling only. when i have the box on the high setting there seems to be a ticking/knocking noise. it sounds like the truck usually does when it is first started when cold. but i still notice this when truck is all the way warmed up. when i nail it the noise goes away. its at lower that 2000rpm's and when just cruzing down the highway. i do not hear this when i have the box in the off position and dont really notice it when on the low setting either. i usually run power service and 2-stoke in most tanks but does not seem to make a difference. just tryin to figure out if im about to spend some money on injectors or if this is normal?

Raising RP will make your injectors louder, at least mine get louder with pressure. And when I stop running it the truck quiets down a little. I dont think you have an issue. If its a pressure box only I dont think you have to worry about it being a timing knock.

That's pressure. Timing rattle is way louder. If you ever get timing rattle you'll know it.

sine it just sems to be pressure making the noise, is it to much pressure for the injectors? also is it smart to run aftermarket injectors like F1's with a pressure only box?

Those old boxes should be fine on the injectors, especially the 305hp trucks.

The sound you are hearing is definately injectors from added pressure. Like someone else says, you will know timing rattle, it is distinct and deeper sounding than pressure ticking.

Also, these trucks are so quiet with the pilot injection that you can hear every little thing. It is probably not that loud in reality.
