Injector install problems, now no start.

installed new 70hp nozzles and followed ddp install instructions. Now won't start and lots of white smoke while cranking. Rp won't build only 550 psi shown on modis. I did have 1 cracked injector according to pictures on ddp but did not have another inj to install. Would poor connection with the tubes cause this or could the cracked inj cause this. I had no driveability problems before so I'm not sure if the cracked inj would cause this. Thanks for all the help in advance.

My guess is that you either have an injector in backwards or you need to re-torque your tubes.

dnt hold me to it but isnt it common to have a rough start up and some white smoke until the fuel lines get rid of all the air and till the pump primes? how long did you attempt to start it

yes a cracked injector will cause this. it is dumping fuel into the cylinder. Buy an new one, and change your oil now. A cracked injector will dump fuel into the oil pan, thin out your oil and wipe out all the bearings.

I just sent outo my injectors to get tested today so in a week or so I will find or the results. No injector was installed backwards. I did a total of 3 cranks probably totaling 1+ minutes. The more I think about it its probably a combination of both a cracked injector and tubes not being fully seated. While it was cranking I did hear a fuel knock. Now I would rather be safe than sorry and just have them checked to be sure. Thanks for the help guys.

Check your oil and see if it smells like fuel. If it is a little high or smells like fuel change it. Don't take the chance of running thinned oil. When you are putting in those connector tubes they should stop. Push on them hard and they will pop into place.
