Lightbulb Inexpensive Alternative To Rhino Line

I went to Wal-Mart today and thought I would try This Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating on my rockers behind my rear wheels (I had just fixed a dent there and didn't want to color match and blend paint). You buy the quart ($15) or the gallon ($40) and then buy the special roller brush for the texture ($3). I must say that that stuff was a joy to work with. Real quick and easy to apply. Just scuff the surface a little with sandpaper and mask it off and start rolling it on as thick as you want. Dries fast. A little messy buts thats ok, lay down some newspaper. I used 1/2 a quart to do the rockers behind the rear tires and am saving the rest if I need to touch up later. I have allready had some people ask me where I got in Rhino-Lined. Looks sharp!

Paint $15
Roller $3
Newspaper Free
The joy of "Doing it Yourself" Priceless

Does the color match the truck color or is it black?

a picture would be nice! i did the Herculiner roll on bedliner for my truck. it looked good for a week, then it faded. now half of it has rubbed off and left the big chunks to scrape your hand with. for that price maybe it's worth a shot.

Here is what I am doing for my bed liner. I will be going with a dark blue, so if there is any fading, it won't matter as much.

I've seen the rockers shot with Line-X, looks real good too. Some Line-X dealers will shoot colors to match. That's next

My boys and I have done a jeep body tub and fenders on our trailer with the herculiner stuff, good prep must have paid off as it has held up very well to a lot of abuse, good enough that I would not be afraid to put this stuff on the truck bed. HOpe this helps

Used the same stuff on my 83 GMC that I use for work.Soon to be replaced with an 04.5 or 05 CTD I just followed instructions and has held up well for 5 years of abuse.
